Doom and gloom...phooey!

A recent article in the local paper ("Prof presents gentler outlook"-July 4th,2005), offers a believable and realistic view of the city's future by Professor Bakhtiar Moazzami. Although our population is shrinking, there is still opportunity to take advantage of our existing amenities such as Lakehead University,Confederation College, the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and other areas that will be an attraction to the city in spite of a declining forestry and mining industry.many of us believe we live in a great place with affordable housing, safe streets,lots of activities to participate in and we are 15 minutes from any where in the city.
