Katrina and New Orleans Real Estate

As this is written another hurricane is about to hit the Gulf coast and the ripple effect has sent many here in Thunder Bay to line-up at the pumps. So what happens to real estate values in New Orleans? It seems they go up... way up! Speculators are rushing in with the anticipation of a boom in house prices once the re-construction kicks in.They are probably right but I prefer dry ground.
